Behaviour Support
Behaviour Support Therapy & Training

Challenging behaviour (e.g. yelling, hitting, self-harming, refusing to follow instructions etc) serve a purpose. Behaviour Support, or Positive Behaviour Support, is an evidence-based approach to identify the reasons for one's challenging behaviours.
Through Behaviour Support we can assist NDIS participants and their support people to illuminate the challenging behaviour. NDIS clients who have funding under Improved Relationships Category can receive specialist Behaviour Support Assistance, behaviour support plan, training (e.g. training for caregivers and/or parents) and implementation.
Therefore, the NDIS participants can receive individualised strategies based on their specific needs to minimise the occurrence of challenging behaviours. Behaviour Support Services also help to reduce the use of Restrictive Practices.
